Privacy policy

EFFECTIVE DATE: 2026-06-09 // VERSION 2.12

The company behind this policy

This policy is issued by UK INNOVATION ACADEMY LTD, a private limited company registered in England and Wales with company number 17195550. We publish games under the name Innovation Quest.

UK INNOVATION ACADEMY LTD is the controller of the personal data described below. References to "we", "us" and "our" are to UK INNOVATION ACADEMY LTD acting as Innovation Quest.

We are an independent game studio making turn-based puzzle games for Android devices, which we release on Google Play.

Our registered office is listed on our contact page and on the Companies House register.

Below we set out what personal data we receive, our reasons for using it, how long it is kept, who processes it for us and the rights you have.

Apps this policy covers

This policy covers the innovationquest.vip website and any contact you make with us by post. No mobile apps are currently released under the Innovation Quest name.

When a future app is released on Google Play, it will be given a separate policy hosted on innovationquest.vip under the /privacy/ path, named after that game.

Every app policy will identify the app by name and package name, mirror its Google Play Data Safety declaration, name each SDK built into the released version and list all Android permissions it requests.

Links to those app policies will be added to this page as each game is released.

What data we collect

Reading innovationquest.vip does not require an account, a login or any personal details. There are no forms, newsletters, comment threads or shops on the site.

When your device requests a page, our hosting provider handles routine technical data for us. This consists of your IP address, the requested address, a timestamp, your browser and operating system and, if sent by your browser, the referring page.

We do not install analytics software, advertising code, tracking pixels or session recorders on the website, and we do not fingerprint devices.

When you write to us we receive your name, your return address and the content of your letter. If you include an email address or phone number for our reply, we receive that too.

We ask you not to send card numbers, passwords, copies of identity documents or medical information. If any of these arrive, we will send them back or destroy them securely.

We do not buy personal data or receive it from other companies.

For apps, Google Play Data Safety sets out the categories of data collected. Since no app is covered by this policy, no Data Safety categories apply here. Each app policy will list its own categories and say whether data stays on the device or is transmitted.

How we use information

Technical request data is used to deliver pages, maintain security, prevent misuse and investigate faults.

Letters are used to read and answer your correspondence, deal with follow-up questions, keep a record of our replies and carry out data protection requests.

Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in operating a secure website for Innovation Quest and responding to people who contact us. We have assessed this against your interests and found the processing to be limited and expected.

Where a law requires us to retain records, such as company or tax rules, we rely on our legal obligation. We will ask for clear, separate consent if any future activity needs it.

We do not sell personal data, use it for marketing or advertising, or make solely automated decisions that affect you.

Third-party services and SDKs

The website includes no third-party SDKs, no external scripts, no externally hosted fonts and no embedded media or social plugins.

Cloudflare, Inc. provides hosting and delivers the pages, processing request data on our instructions. Its privacy policy is at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.

Postal operators handle letters in transit under their own terms.

We may disclose information to professional advisers such as accountants or solicitors when the company needs their help, and to public authorities if the law requires it.

Every SDK built into a future app will be named, with a link to its provider's privacy information, in that app's own policy.

Data retention and deletion

Cloudflare retains request logs briefly under its own settings. We do not copy them into any system we control.

Letters and our replies are kept for 12 months after a matter is resolved, then shredded, and any scans are deleted.

If correspondence forms part of statutory company records, it is kept for the period UK law sets, generally six years from the end of the relevant financial year.

We may keep information longer where we need it to establish, exercise or defend legal claims, and only for as long as that need continues.

You can ask us to delete your correspondence sooner. We will do so unless a legal requirement prevents it, and we will tell you which requirement applies.

Children

This website is intended for a general audience and is not aimed at children under 13.

We do not knowingly collect personal data from children through the website or by letter.

If you are a parent or guardian and think your child has sent us personal information, please write to us and we will delete it.

Each future app policy will state the intended age range of the game and how the game follows the rules for that age range.

Permissions

The website requests no device permissions.

Opening pages on innovationquest.vip never asks to use your camera, microphone, location, contacts, files, sensors or notifications, and no scripts run on the pages.

Once an Android game is released, its own policy will list each permission present in the inspected build and explain the purpose of each one.

Your rights

The UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 give you the right to access the personal data we hold about you and to receive a copy.

You may also ask us to rectify inaccurate data, erase data, restrict its use, object to processing that relies on legitimate interests and, where applicable, receive data you supplied in a portable form.

If any processing relies on your consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time.

Please send requests by post to the address on our contact page. We respond within one month of receipt, extendable by two further months for complex requests, in which case we will let you know within the first month.

We may need reasonable proof of identity before acting on a request. There is normally no fee.

You have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113. We would welcome the chance to address your concern before you do.

International transfers

We are based in the United Kingdom, and letters are kept in the United Kingdom.

Because Cloudflare runs a worldwide network, technical request data may be handled in other countries, including the United States.

Such transfers are covered by Cloudflare's data processing terms, which incorporate the UK International Data Transfer Addendum to the EU standard contractual clauses, or by another safeguard that UK law recognises.

Changes to this policy

We revisit this policy when the website changes, before any game is released and whenever data protection law changes.

The effective date and version shown at the top of the page identify the current edition.

Where a change materially affects how we use personal data, we will describe it clearly on this page.

Contact us

Questions or requests about this policy can be posted to UK INNOVATION ACADEMY LTD at the registered office shown on our contact page.

Please mark the envelope "Data protection" and mention innovationquest.vip so it is passed to the right person.
